It looks like my hook is back in the water.
I'm generally a pretty quiet guy, faithful, no rocket scientist...but intelligent enough to manage to keep my shoes tied

, modest, oh yes, and devastatingly good-looking.......NOT.
Just looking for someone who appreciates good company, quiet evenings at home, an occasional evening out for dinner and a movie, or just visiting friends. Oh yes, and is willing to sample some of my experimental dishes when I have the urge to cook.
Good luck to all.
Musical interests include, but are not limited to, Pink Floyd, older ZZ-Top, Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, Loreena McKennitt, Bob Marley, Thomas Dolby, Louis Armstrong and a wide range of anything which displays good musicianship. I have very low tolerance for rap, but can enjoy just about anything else.
Movies/TV: I enjoy Sci-Fi, some action/adventure, British comedy (ie;Monty Python), but again, can enjoy anything that is well-written and well-acted. Field of Dreams is a good example of an amazing movie which I like a lot, yet is far outside my usual viewing genres. Other examples of such are Hunt for Red October, all of the Indiana Jones movies, Paschendale, Bull Durham, A Few Good Men, Ladyhawk The Godfather, etc etc etc...
Activities: Playing music (bass, guitar, keyboards, some singing), scuba diving, watersports in general, canoeing and/or boating (when I get a chance). Haven't been fishing in decades, and I'm thinking it's time to get back into that. I love water-skiing, even though I'm not very good at it, and usually provide laughs for whoever is in the boat as I am quite well accomplished at wiping out in a rather spectacular way.
Noodling with computers. Tinkering with sound equipment, both domestic and professional. Sometimes just pulling up a lawn-chair and sitting back and watching the world rush madly off in all directions. I enjoy shooting hoops, badminton, tennis and other such sports, but due to years of abuse to my knees and ankles, I have to exercise some restraint when engaged in these sorts of activities.
I do respond politely to any and all messages I receive, whether the sender strikes my fancy or not. I see no point in being rude, or ignoring someone. I so doing, I've made some great friends on this site. Can never have too many friends, I think.
BTW, a lot of categories on the profile are multiple choice, but rather limited in the message they convey. Drinking, for example. I have myself down as a "Social Drinker", simply because there is no "Seldom" category. While I do occasionally enjoy a drink, I don't think I've had 6 drinks this calendar year. Any fun I can have whilst drinking, I can have sober. Except, of course, for being violently ill or falling over......hehe. Same thing with smoking. I do smoke, but often less than 8 cigarettes/day.
Oh yeah, if your profile says "Looking for a real man" continue looking. I am not real. Strictly artificial, like those plastic Christmas trees.....environmentally friendly.
I like procrastinating, but lately I can't seem to find the time.
