Hmm... what can I say?

I am honest and open. You will always hear the truth from me (tactfully, of course). Compassionate and understanding, and will do anything for friends and loved ones.
I am very open minded, and always up for learning new things. I'm sure you've heard it all a million times before, but it's no less true. :p
I've been told that I'm quite intelligent. But even I have those moments when I feel thick as a stump. LOL! I'm a friendly, outgoing guy. Very much into meeting new people and making friends, and enjoying good conversation. I've also got a great sense of humor. Admittedly, it might be a little screwed up at times, but I am often leaving my friends (and others around us) in stitches with my antics.
I'm pretty much one of those "old fashioned romantics", and I like to treat my lady like a princess. Courteous, chivalrous and assertive. I stand up for myself, and have no problems taking charge. And I love to have a fun time.
I'm confident, but not to the point of arrogance. (Though there's nothing wrong with being a little c*cky in good fun) ;)

I'm sort of an indoorsy/outdoorsy kind of guy. :)
I enjoy reading, writing poetry and short stories, romance, movies, games, taking walks, eating out, spending time with friends, mini golf, quiet time at home... all sorts of things. My friends and I generally like to do whatever strikes our fancy at the spur of the moment. Museums, parks, go-karts, sight seeing, fine dining, etc... I go where my mood takes me at the time.
I also enjoy travel. Seeing new places is always a wonderful. And I'd love to travel to Japan and China someday.

Shout it out loud! I'm a geek and I'm proud. Of course, that doesn't mean I'm an addict (so don't run screaming for the hills yet). I might have a fun hobby, but I'd never let gaming come before my lady, and I don't do so to the exclusion of all else. Geeking out playing video games and such (especially with friends, I'm a big fan of co-op) is a great source of entertainment. I also enjoy classic pencil and paper RPG's. I design games myself, and I'm creating a CCG in my spare time.
My current MMO is EVE Online. I go by S'Sturak on there. Look me up. ;)

I've got a great job that I love. I'm working for Hewlett Packard as a system admin And I've been given the chance to work from home. Which is great. I still suck at getting up first thing in the morning (beware the morning Zombie), but at least I enjoy the reason why. ;)
I also do some volunteer work with the CNIB.

I've got my life together. I've left the past behind me, got my sight set on the future, and I'd hope you've done the same.

What am I looking for here?

I seek someone who is intelligent, caring, and witty. Someone I can talk to, and open up to. Someone who I can just enjoy being with, even if we're not really doing anything. I'm looking for a partner in life (and in crime), an equal. A woman who will help me explore my limits and push beyond them... just as I would help her to do.

And if you're a gamer... well that's definitely a huge plus. ;)

The first date... well... that all depends on the person I'm with...
Everyone is different, and I would hope that before coming to the first date, I would have learned enough about you to make it a truly spectacular one.
