I recently retired and am loving it! It gives me more time to travel, take interesting courses and do more fitness-related activities. I seek an intelligent man of moderate habits who likes to visit different shores (not just the beach scene), who's fascinated by new scientific developments and who's turned off by the false values of the current "culture". I'm not into sports, but keep fit by dancing, aerobics, walking and swimming. I also enjoy kayaking. Life is good but would be even better with the right companion - to enjoy frequent travel, weekend jaunts, a nice dinner with a glass of red wine, a good movie (if we can find one), gazing at the stars and wondering if there's intelligent life out there - sometimes there seems to be less and less of it down here, witness the annual Darwin awards!

I was born in Scotland but am bilingual! I'm practical and not high maintenance. I'm looking forward to visiting Chile, Egypt, Peru and Antarctica. Also enjoy writing poetry for special friends or occasions.

The second date would be better - after we've both agreed there's an attraction. Maybe a candlelight dinner or a walk in the woods talking about life and finding our common experiences and opinions.
