Isn't technology wonderful! It has enabled you to stumble upon my profile somehow. I think it's great that we can meet on here like this. The internet is amazing.

Where do we start? Well, I think it's best to start as friends. It seems like a nice, low-pressure situation. A good connection is important though and an essential starting point. I don't want anything too serious at the moment, just to enjoy some happy times. This is a great opportunity to meet someone warm and friendly who feels similarly.

What can I tell you about me? I'm friendly, fun when relaxed and can be charming. I have a surprising sense of humour which catches people unawares. I can chat about almost anything (except maybe sport). I'd like to meet someone interesting and intelligent who can listen as well as talk. The people I have most respect for have integrity and are able to see beyond the superficial in life.

Although I'm quite good at some things (art, crafts, music, cookery and writing), I'm not a very practical person when it comes to day-to-day planning or DIY. It would be great to meet someone who complemented me in these respects.

So what kind of things do I like doing? Well, there's music and art for a start off. I like many different types of music, including rock and blues (not so keen on classical, but like guitar pieces). I listen to live folk/Irish music and try to play it on guitar. If you like listening to music and maybe even playing it, then you may be a fellow soul.

I am also an artist and love drawing portraits. I like visiting art galleries and just looking at architecture so it would be fun to meet someone who liked this too - in fact, I'm hoping to visit Ely Cathedral soon if anyone fancies going. On the other hand, I'm just as happy to sit in a café or pub and chat and watch the world go by. Sitting or walking by a river is lovely and relaxing too; I haven't done enough of that recently. Be warned, I'm more veggie than otherwise so I'm definately not into fishing!

I'm not a materialistic person either so fashion and flash cars mean very little to me. Not much point trying to impress me with things like that then. Personality and integrity matter so much more. OK, some cars are nice if they are warm inside and have a nice audio. (You can see what my priorities are here: I like music and I'd rather listen to it somewhere warm.)
