About Me
I've been in the area about 2 years now and it seems near impossible to make friends here. So that is really what I am looking for at this time(people to go to movies, dinner or concerts with, etc). I'm 37, never married, no kids (unless you count the cats - 2 Ferris & Kiera). I write poetry and short stories and I have a tendancy to take the camera(s) with me to many of the places i go. I also like bicycling (preferably flat-land rides). I love going to museums and concerts. I think cemeteries are great places to wander. I like to hike (but I want a warm shower and comfy bed when I'm done so camping isn't included in that). I recently starting making chainmaille jewelry, which I'm finding to be quite fun.
Since my interests are of the more creative bent, I prefer people that are also artistic in their interests. I am finding men on here want instant relationships. I really do not want a relationship at this point in my life... I work full time and go to school part time... This leaves me little time for much else. Should something develop with someone I meet here great but it should be a relationship that grows over time.
Please no heavy smokers or drug users. I'm not a sports fan, I don't like camping, I'm not Christian (nor of a Christ based faith)... if you're looking for someone that is into these things, I'm probably not your kind of girl...
I'm very straight forward, some people like this, some don't... I try to answer all email I receive on here (even if it is just to say "thanks but no thanks").
Also note that I'm cool with penpals and hang out friends of either gender. BTW 9 out of 10 times the IM window on here locks up. So if I don't respond, it's because I can't. Email is better. Please don't add me to your favs list, unless you plan on talking. I find it a bit strange to add someone whom you have no intention of speaking with. If I do not receive an email from you within 24 hours being added to your favorites, you will be deleted.
