well, my son and his girlfriend broke up, so after having my little grandaughter living with me for the past 11 months, now she's gone and lives 3 hours away! i really miss her......

after the past few years, and especially the past few months, now ready to update my agenda;
1> ready to enter 2nd childhood :)
2> would like to have a guide/partner in crime
3> when i die, i don't want people to look at me and say "he looks good", but rather "damn! he had fun!!"

just home from the hospital after under-going a quad-bypass. didn't even know i had issues, went in for pneumonia!! but feeling better!!

As you are aware, the economy really sucks right now. I want to be upfront and let you know that I don't have a lot of extra money left over after payday. After a couple of tough years, I now have my son, his girlfriend, and my 9 month old grandaughter living with me while they struggle to get their life in order. I only mention this because I want you to know that I won't be able to do a lot of wining and dining should you wish to meet. I can offer you a friend, lover, companion, and I've been told I'm pretty good listener too!

You can read more about me by reading below but understand everyone on here says they want honesty, so I've been honest below. If you really don't want honesty, then do not read any further, just ask me a question or 2. I'm not trying to be smart, I've just told it like it is.

I really wish it were a requirement that you ladies had to list what age range you're interested in. It gets very frustrating to write someone and not get some kind of response, even if it just says thanks, but no thanks, at least I wouldn't sit here wondering why.......
Anyway, this is me in a nutshell..maybe I'm too old (or so you may think), or maybe I'm too old-fashioned (unless you like getting cards/flowers for no reason), or maybe I'm too set in my ways (haven't had a reason to change anything in a while), all of which could be overcome with the right person by my side.
I don't do the cruising the bar scene, never really did enjoy it. I'm not into casual sex, even though I still have a high sex drive (when in a relationship) I can still count the number of "partners" I've had on less than 2 hands. I am definately a one woman man!

I'm content to stay at home, but don't mind going out once or twice a week. I enjoy a good cup of coffee, and a good bottle of wine. I enjoy holding hands when out and don't mind showing affection in public. I like walking in the rain, I think thunderstorms are very sensual. I still like amusement parks, I like being a kid. I enjoy playing golf, even though i'm not very good at it. My plans are to have a motorcycle this summer (well, maybe next summer), but i'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I'm not rich, but i'm not poor either. I could feel rich with the right person beside me. I enjoy cooking, especially with someone in there with me. I can make a trip to the grocery store fun.
I believe in discussions, not arguements. You don't argue with a friend.
My daughter lives in Virginia Beach.
2007 was a tuff year, i lost an uncle, an aunt, and both my parents, so i'm really looking forward to a better 2009.
Just to let you know, I haven't dated in a long time, haven't danced for an even longer time, so I may be a little rusty, but I consider myself a work in progress.
So if any of this makes sense to you, feel free to drop me a line, or at least write back and say hi, even if you're not interested. As they say, you can never have too many friends. It would be nice if you had a picture posted, I really like to know who I'm talking to.
In addition to spending time in Va. Beach to visit the kids and the grandson, my job keeps me moving too. I cover all of Eastern NC, Roanoke-Lynchburg, Va.
