Guess I have to start off with some bad news. I was recently in a head on collision with a butchers van, so if you are on of those women who does not like a bit of meat on a man, I suggest you look elsewhere.
A number of women ask me "how come you are single?" Well, George Clooney is single sometimes, and so are 'YOU'! Why is it such a mystery that I am?? "I dont understand why you are on a site like this"? The same reason 'YOU' are! If I see an attractive intelligent woman of my age on here I don't get suspicious and assume she must have some mental defect, rabid personal hygiene, or deep emotional issues. I think "result" and assume life must have thrown in one of those curves, COS THAT'S WHAT IT DOES!
I have not decided to go looking for "the one". If she turns up, then I will deal with her! I would like to meet someone female, attractive. Not going to dictate an exact age, though not too young. In the other direction, as long as you are attractive, the age is of no consequence.
I hate ego. I like nice people. I like humility, kindness, compassion. Dislike brutality, big heads and anyone who thinks they are superior. I like tolerance, but with a healthy sprinkle of knowing where to draw the line! There IS such a thing as right, AND wrong. I like animals, did not used to like dogs as a child, but like them now! Intelligence is good, and not just the academic kind. Smart does not have to come out of a book. Just a normal guy, so I wont pretend I dont like good legs in high heels, large breasts, all that stuff that too many women think we as men should find unimportant. Its just nice to be around someone you find easy on the eye, who makes you growl when you look at her. To me that is just as important as a good personality. A balance of both is nice.
I like laughter, but if I just wanted to have fun I would sit in an armchair all day with my hand in my pants. Not interested in cyber sex as I still retain a vague interest in the real thing!
A serious side is good too, otherwise how can you talk about anything that really matters? And for all you people who use that cliche of "I dont take life seriously" well, try and remember that when someone you love is announcing to you that they have cancer, what will you have for them, a fantastic original jokey icon? That'll fix that! Or when the police arrive at your door and ask "do you have a child by the name of.........." yes, more fun, and some more life not to be taken seriously! Or how about stepping out of your house in the morning and finding out your family pet has been the latest victim of some hit and run mutha*&^%%! Try and forget trite bull s&*t remarks that you think sound cool. Under the tiniest investigation you will realise they are meaningless. Try and find the balance.
I also like to laugh a lot.
6th November, today. Got a message from a woman who said rather flatteringly that I did not look my age. I wrote back to her, thanked her for the compliment, explaining that I would never lie about such a thing, as if I did I felt I would be in some way denying my 23 year old daughter, of whom I am very proud. Her reply? "Full of sh*t the lot of ya". Thats a quote. Where do people get such venom from? And why would I lie and ADD years? Had to let my offence driven anger subside, and wrote back to her wishing her well, and telling her that I hope things get better and better for her. But such vitriol from a stranger does not sit well.
