About Me
you've looked through all the profiles of guys who live the "extreme" lifestyle. they're thicker than the Bunker Hill Monument, and are very active in sports. You’ve probably found your “Jordan Catalano.“ but what about Krakow? What about George in Grey’s Anatomy? What about Lloyd Dobler? What about THOSE guys? I’m really just one of those really nice guys you hear people say there aren’t enough of. Small things elate me: a walk through Boston Common, wading in the Frog Pond, a good cup of coffee, perusing used bookstores & music stores, filling out the crossword in the Weekly Dig, Anyways, I’m a pretty happy guy, nonetheless, looking for a companion. I’ve lived in many places, but Boston will always be home for me. I’m a recovering English major pushing wood pulp at a Borders bookstore while also studying for my graduate degree in full-contact extreme librarianship. It’s more exciting than you think it is. Actually, no. Not really. It’s just a career path that makes sense for me. I have a weekend addiction to NPR, especially “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me” & Garrison Keillor. My creative outlet is writing & reading poetry on a weekly basis in a bar in Cambridge. Even if I live a high-risk fast-paced life (ahem. Yeah. (sarcasm)) I’m always open to new experiences. Essentially, I’m looking for someone who’s generally happy. Someone who’s willing to eat out, watch a movie, or spend a Sunday pouring over the New York Times. Someone who appreciates the "nice guy" roles, prefers conversation rather than grunts. Love of books and/or coffee a plus. Some line-quoting from “When Harry Met Sally” and/or “Princess Bride” also a plus. I’m quite partial to women with long hair, but that is not an expectation. She should be open & honest & funny & have a great smile & be willing to give a cynical poet a reason to smile. Okay, maybe there are some.
