Even though I live my life without regrets or reservations, I always have in the back of my head that it doesn't really start until I meet the person I'm supposed to be with. Hence my headline - I'm ready to start the rest of my life.

I'm a professional in the Information Technology field (for the last 10 years or so). I really enjoy my work, even though I complain about it. I figure if it's not worth complaining about, it's not worth doing. I work with mostly guys, and usually they forget I'm a girl. Yes, I swear and I don't mind dirty jokes!

I own a condo, I'm financially responsible, I volunteer with a youth organization, and I'm in a classic car club.

I watch way too much TV (but all on TiVo, rarely live) and I read a lot of fiction. I travel a little (3-5 day trips a few times a year). I spend a lot of time with family. I don't generally like chick flicks, it's usually action or sci-fi for me.

I have two small dogs - and yes, I spoil them. I promise that I do *not* dress them up in silly outfits. However, I do talk to them as if they were my children. ;)

I'm not particularly neat, I don't like to wear make-up or primp a lot. I do dress up for work every day, and I'm told that I always look really nice. I spend a lot of my money on my family (17 yo niece/15 yo nephew), and I blow a lot of money on stuff I want because I can.

I do have a tattoo, and it represents the commitment I have to my family. And yes, it's in *that* spot... you know the one, where pretty much every girl my age gets one...

* Someone who isn't insecure if the girl knows more or makes more than him - I don't know everything, but I'm relatively smart, and I make a decent living
* Someone who doesn't insist on being "up my butt" 24/7 - I need my alone time, this includes nagging emails saying "why didn't you answer me right away?"...I'm a busy girl.
* Someone who definitely wants kids, but only with the right person
* Someone who understands that family is very important
* Someone who lives within 1/2 hour (probably not very open-minded of me, but hey, I'm a busy girl...

I guess dinner and drinks are good. Movies are a cop-out, I know, but I do *really* like movies. Classic car shows are fun - plenty of opportunity to talk, but low pressure. The dog park is good.
