I have to admit, I am somewhat disenchanted with society and what I've seen. Is the whole dating/relationship scene to be treated like a buffet table? It seems there's so much selection that many can't decide on what flavour they're seeking so they pick and choose and still don't have a clue what flavours they've tried. What happened to actually taking time to appreciate the tastes of each individual offering?

Don't get me wrong, I'm very positive, and probably why I comment.

At 40 plus the best is yet ahead!...I'm at a great place in life in that I look forward to travel and new experiences. I have a lot to share. I'm not looking for someone to take care of me--I do fine that way. I'm looking for someone to have fun with who has that innate sense of curiosity and diverse interests..but the big catch is---MUST have awesome sense of humor--some experiences are that much more for having been shared...

I have 2 young adults...no longer considered 'dependants'.

I am a "doer" as opposed to a "sitting there and watching it" kinda gal.

I'm an open-minded (hence the profile), fun-loving, little off-the-wall (in a good way of course), classy (we're just not sure which class) lady open to meet someone interesting and fun loving that's willing to expand horizons and challenge my mind and who wouldn't mind the same in return. I like to be challenged, and will give back as good as I get! (and trust me....I can be challenging...lol)

I can be classy, yet I can be corny. I'm prone to dancing when the mood hits me, and if you hear me singing along--then by all means ....PLEASE TURN UP THE TUNES!! I can be a lady yet I have fun doing renos--I've got the demolition part down pat (-- the end result is just so much more attractive when I have help to rebuild--) I don't mind getting into it and dirty. (OMG a chick with power tools and a crow bar--UGH! so far I still have all of my fingers and toes and haven't taken anyone's eye out lately!)

I'm a motivated individual with goals and dreams.

I like the simple things in life--and I like to keep life simple.

I love change, it's an opportunity to see a new perspective. Change is a chance to learn and to grow...the proverbial door opening.

I can be fun loving and free-spirited and yet at times I can be quiet and reflective (I know, it can be freaky) I love to laugh, whether it's at myself or at your corny wit. I'm not much of a drinker but I'm still a lot of fun!

I want to meet someone with a their own sense of self--someone who "wants" a relationship as opposed to "needs" one. Someone who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to go for it. Honesty and integrity are high on my list. Someone with that inner fire to fuel them....

I've been told I can be pretty forward--but in a good honest way. Pretentiousness does NOT impress me--

It's not WHAT YOU HAVE but WHAT YOU DO with it that makes all the difference.

I have been told that I have an athletic build and have been asked why i don't include this---it's because I don't work out in a gym and I'm not into sports (not neccessarily my choice)! I tried out the glasses to see if they would help me look more intelligent but alas---I'm still single...hmmm--maybe they make me look TOO intelligent--what do you think?

Friends have told me I'm attractive and even a good catch--but then again...they may be paid well....or... have had that one drink that makes anyone with a pulse look good....Please don't judge this book by the cover--if you do you'll miss 99% of the story. I believe that the true light shines from within...
