Hi folks, a quick note to say that I'm no longer fishing in this pond...
...fate and good karma hooked me a real trophy fish...
...so there won't be any other lines in the water while I concentrate on landing this very special fish....

UPDATE - 14 MAY 2007:
Silver.g.url and myself are approaching our 3rd month together and things are going swimmingly. We're looking forward to our second vacation together (spending the Victoria Day Weekend in Victoria). We've done an amazing variety of activities and places together... ...and we're looking forward to many more. More to follow....
UPDATE - 27 MARCH 2008:
My soulmate, silver.g.url, and myself hit the one year mark on February 18th. We've just purchased a townhouse together and move into it at the end of May. We're still madly in love with each other [even more so now than at the beginning, if that's possible]. We've taken two big vacations together [one to Yellowstone, the other to Mexico], as well as plenty of getaways to Whistler, the Island, and such. Snuggling together every night is now mandatory, as are romantic walks and whispers. Have to say that all-in-all things have worked out great for us! More coming soon....

After a great dinner at Joe Fortes and a fantastic evening out, I finally popped the question at 12:01am...

Everything is booked for us to tie the knot in the Venus Garden at Caesar's Palace (Las Vegas) on 21 March 2009 (see Invitation).
Pretty soon we can add our picture to the other PoF Success Stories!
UPDATE - 21 MARCH 2009:
We each said "I DO!"
Yup, we became a PoF success story on a beautiful [if just a little windy] afternoon, on the 21st of March, 2009, in the beautiful Venus Garden at Caesar's Palace. Our reception was held at Trevi's, beside the huge fountain in the Forum Shops. Our honeymoon was two weeks of incredible 35C weather in Huatulco (Oaxaca), Mexico. See attached pix.
About Me:
- 40-something (I forget, senility is settling in)
- cute, but psycho (the lawyers made me include this as a standard disclaimer)
- only married once (miss my ex - but my aims improving)
- reformed Catholic (attended 'Our Lady of the Broken Knuckles')
- white collar professional (the leather one didn't fit)
- reformed single parent (the guy formerly known as Mr. Mom)
- two streetrats (adult variant of rugrat)
- ex-miltary type (12 years of self-inflicted brain damage was enough)
- pet friendly (I love cats - usually with a little ketchup)
- kid friendly (whenever copious quantities of duct tape are involved)
- house broken (but I managed to fix it again)
- enjoys outdoor activities (hide the coworker's body is one of my favourites)
- no country music (America's answer to Italian opera)
- no line dancing (group therapy for those with two left feet)
- seeking a down-to-Earth lady (haven't had much luck with the Martian womenfolk thus far)
- you're settled in career and family (one Paxil, two Paxil, three Paxil, four)
- don't have any addictive behaviors (ok fine, you can be addicted to nookie)
- and have a wacky sense of humour (optional, but highly recommended)...

Seriously now - I once again find myself at a crossroads...
...with both kids now grown and off discovering their own path in life.
Having a life to myself once again, I'm now seeking a very special lady...
...one who is as comfortable in jeans; watching a DVD at home...
...as she is dressed to the nines; enjoying a performance at the Chan...
...a woman who values dialogue, integrity and fortitude...
...and exudes confidence, intelligence and poise.
Please, if you're seeking another Donald Trump...
...or you still happen to be angry with your ex [for whatever reason]...
...or you simply want to continue the serial dating thing indefinately...

First Date
First date, eh? Hmmmm... Probably a great cup of coffee and walk around the Seawall. Or maybe lunch and exploring the mysteries of Granville Island. Window shopping in Park Royal can be fun...
