Let's see... about me. I decided to try meeting people this way because I don't really place a lot of merit in the bar and club scene. I've never really been the bar scene or "party guy" type. If I had a choice between watching a movie at home or going clubbing, I would stay home. That's not to say that I'm not social. I love talking and have been known to carry on a meaningful conversation into the wee hours of the night. I am trying to become a writer but it's a slow process. I'm also a romantic. I like to send flowers unexpectedly for no reason or leave little love notes in places... stuff like that... little things that show that I care. It would be great if I could actually find a person that appreciated those things this time. I like relaxing on the beach and being with my friends. I enjoy trying new things and new places. There's nothing more exciting to me than meeting new people in a new place. I'm a former Marine so I've done that quite a few times and each time seems to be better than the previous one. I like working out, I guess I'm what most would call a gym rat. I spend three or four nights every week in the gym. I used to play basketball a lot, but over the years my joints have deteriorated so I don't much anymore. I have a healthy (and sometimes corny) sense of humor and I like other people that do too. I like nice things but don't place any priority in materialism or status. I'm very careful about who I call my friends. I feel that I am honest and trustworthy and have a high moral fiber and so I try to surround myself with people of the same character. I despise liars and superficial people that are too into themselves. I've always tried to remain humble. I think there's nothing more attractive than a woman who is gorgeous and has no idea that she is. Other interests I have are music, love my music, camping, hiking, basically anything outside. Movies I love watching movies too. I don't watch a whole lot of TV. I read a lot too. The biggest deal in my life right now is trying to be a good father to my 2 1/2 yr old daughter. I desperately want her to grow up to be a happy, healthy productive person. I heard this somewhere and I'm gonna steal it because it's so true... Don't ever be careless with another's heart and don't tolerate those who are careless with yours. Well, I always think this is a trick question so i have a standard answer. Once i get to know you, hopefully i'll know what the ideal first date is because i think it's different for everyone. But if i don't know, i'm not too proud to ask, i'd rather feel awkward for a minute asking than feel awkward the whole night wondering if this is what my date wanted to do.
