After reading concerns that so many have, let me say up front: You don't have to worry about my standing on one night stand because I prefer to stand on two night stands. Uh, wait. Not stand on 'em exactly. That is, I'm for having two night stands. One on either side of the bed. So there it is out in the open. My stand on night stands. You'll have to get to know me and allow me to get to know you though before I'll introduce you to my night stands.

Brains and beauty here. I am considered very attractive...
...by caveman standards. Not a Neanderthal though... LOL I prefer to find the humor in most things and situations. I can and do especially laugh at myself. I believe there is and should be humor even in most serious things.

I've actually been called "evolved" by more than one woman friend in the past. Although I have had one call me unevolved simply because I own a gun. I won't count that one since I don't run around shooting up signs, killing animals or waving it around to project "how big mine is," etc. I'm not even sure where the bullets are right now. Haha!

I get to drive the big "man truck" at work from time to time. Arrr... arrrrrrr! It's fun to drive but I have to share it with others. LoL

Although there is only one true reality, in the human world we see about six billion (and counting) "realities." Everyone has their own reality born out of their very own life and experiences. I'd like to link up with someone whose reality is fairly close to or similar to mine. Below are some thoughts on the basics of what I think of myself, others, the planet and sometimes the universe.

Episode I: I was conceived, born and grew into a naive young man.
Episode II: I spent time in military service and college and learned a bit about the world.
Episode III: I made a huge, huge, terribly huge mistake when I hooked up with and married a woman who turned out to be... well, let's just say she was from "the Dark Side!"
And now...
Episode IV, I've escaped and I can see there is "a new hope." ;)

I believe we make our own happiness. I believe that the seed or source of happiness is always within us. Only we can choose to nurture and cultivate it. Happiness from within. From there it's more the journey rather than the destination. It is not something that can be acquired from outside ourselves. However, what we draw to us and keep in orbit around us can drain us or energize us. So it is very important to monitor and maintain that which is outside ourselves such that it becomes more of an asset rather than a liability. In living my journey I like to consider how it might be easier and more enjoyable shared with a like or similar minded friend. I sometimes dream that it might even be blissful.

Therefore I am looking for a female with similar and compatible interests. A woman with a compatible lifestyle. Someone who stays active enough to be in the BMI range of 18-25. I am currently at 24.5 and live a lifestyle to maintain it or perhaps edge a little more toward the middle of that range. It really is fairly easy once the lifestyle is chosen and developed.

I am looking for a non tobacco smokin'/usin' woman. That's all in the same woman. Not two women. After all I'm really a one woman kinda guy. Although, I'm still two women short for a 3-sum. Oops! Did I just mention or reference sex?? Darn, then just said the word itself. Twice in one paragraph.

Well, now that that's out, I'm looking for someone with whom I can freely discuss other things too like politics, religion, spirituality, energy, what the bleep, the weather, navel lint, toe jam, whatever.... That'd be a woman with a plenty good tolerance for silly, unintentional mistakes in the getting to know you, dating, friendship, etc. arenas. A decided lack of political correctness. How correct is p.c. anyway? I think that is an oxymoron. Someone who doesn't have too long a list of hangups and/or taboos. A friend who is not easily offended. Of course I wouldn't expect to bring up all of these subjects up at once or on the first date or meeting. I'll save my lists and battery of tests until the second. Haha! The woman I seek is open minded and communicative enough to discuss anything when appropriate. If the time doesn't seem appropriate either of us can just say, "Let's talk about this later. O.k.?" I feel that eventually everything should get discussed. How else do we really get to know each other?

Likewise, I believe this chatting, emailing, dating, activities, spending time with each other, etc. is a two-way street. If we are interested in each other I figure we'll roughly be about equal in trying to or looking forward to chatting, emailing, making time for each other, etc. I understand we may not always be on the same page at the very same time. I do ask that if one thing or another is moving too fast or too slow then just say so. I'll say so. Even though we have so much technology at our fingertips, I find getting to know someone in the 21st century is still quite a challenge. But if we find the person that's right for us, it must be a challenge well worth the effort!

If you have kids that's cool. By selecting "Does not want children." I mean I'm not looking to have new babies. Existing children that are well mannered and reasonably respectful would be great. I like kids. I know kids will be kids, are constantly learning and growing and also need a bit of room to make their own mistakes safely. Good kids are fun to be around. They keep us on our toes and can even help us think and feel younger longer.

Keep passing the open windows.

We will decide together. My preference is to find a comfortable place and time conducive to casual conversation. Somewhere public of course. Perhaps meet outside in a park where we can enjoy nature too? A relatively quiet coffee/tea shop? Really just anywhere we can talk and begin to get to know each other.

Is there chemistry? I think Instant Chemistry is actually rare. (Just add water? Or is that alcohol? Haha!) Chemistry to me is a combination of things with emotions and physical responses only parts of the bigger equation. So I'm not looking for "Instant Chemistry" as a means of deciding the go-no go test. If that were the case I'd always want to meet a woman for the first time on a swinging bridge!

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning to dance in the RAIN. ...I'm still learning and progressing.
