To start off I'm guilty of being witty, sarcastic and known for never being short of words. Which I try to keep control of, but sometimes can get a bit out of hand, all in fun though. I don't mind laughing at myself, that is one of the most important things you have to do if you plan to make friendly fun of other people or things.

I like to make other people smile, not just on the outside, but on the inside. I have a hand full of very good friends that I think the world of, however I have only met a few people so far in this lifetime that have been able to make me really smile on the inside, and that is probably the one thing that my life is missing right now more than anything else.

I grew up in the Valley, and lived in the city for just over a year. I discovered I enjoy the city, but I would rather visit there often then live there long term. I have always told people that it doesn't matter where you live as long as your surrounded by good people, however city life did not work out for me. So I built a house in the Kentville area and I'm fairly happy living here.

I really like to travel, just short trips though, there is nothing better then leaving the cold winter behind for a few days and heading to the warm south for a day or two at the parks and some shopping, weekend road trips to the US and I'm often in Montreal for work. I would really like to visit some new places, and leave the continent of North America, but I have not had the opportunity as of yet.

As far as this site goes, I'm open to anything, and not limiting myself. I have the attitude of "Plan for the worse, and hope for the best..." and always have no expectations of any new people I meet, that way there is no disappointment.

As I said, it travel often, not just to the Halifax area, so I welcome notes from anybody.

I do prefer people that are my age or younger. My reason, I feel people that are even a few years older than myself have grown up in a totally different generation. No doubt that has something to do with how the internet landed in most schools during my mid teens and in most homes around the same time too. I think that opened the doors to different though patterns and behaviors which I can more easily relate to.

Please, only expect replies and possibilities of future correspondence if your real age is under 32. I believe age is just a number, however if yours is over 32, I'm not interested. There is no reason why your profile and actual age should differ, you can always create a new profile or email support.

Dates are the best part of any relationship, and I use the word relationship to include friends as well. "Dating" is a part of a relationship where both people often put more effort into doing this together than when they actually form some type of more official relationship. Why people don't date for several months before making things official, baffles me.

Dates should be fun and first dates should be a little bit sensitive to both parties interests. Time permitting, each person could pick a location and for your date you could visit both places. But keep it social, something interactive. Keeping drastic shock levels to a minimum and keep it personal, no need to involve other friends in it.

Future dates are probably a bit better choice for having one of the participants take more of a control and introduce their companion to new off the wall things.
