I no longer have a pic posted on here. It was deleted on 2-20-09 for a supposed TOS violation. Hmmm I can't help but wonder when it became a TOS violation to post an actual picture of yourself. Oh well, I won't be posting another.
ABOUT ME:
I am a simple country woman who is much more comfortable in jeans and a tee-shirt than in dress clothes.
My eyes are hazel. My Mother claims they get black when I'm either "up to no good" (in an ornery mood) or angry. I wouldn't know cuz if I'm feelin ornery or angry I'm not looking in a mirror. LOL
I'm a practicing non-smoker. This means that I am trying to quit smoking. My longest success to date was 11 months. One day I'll get it right and quit for good. :-)
While I don't want more children of my own that does not mean that I'm not willing to become involved with someone who has younger children. I just hope you wouldn't mind if I tend to corrupt children sometimes. LOL Nothing major, but I've been known to take a group of young people who have adopted me to Walmart and allow them to play with the toys, none that require being taken out of the package to do so though. It's just a way to let them vent their energy in a non-destructive manner.
I have been known to go hunting, but the only way I shoot a critter is with a camera. Yep, you guessed it, I'm an animal lover. LOL I have also been known to go fishing and can bait my own hook. I'll even remove what I catch from the hook myself. Well, unless it's a catfish or an eel. In that case I cut the line and let it go. LOL
Things I like include but are not limited to, country music, old rock music, roller coasters (the bigger the better even though I'm scared of heights), reading, riding 4-wheelers and bowling.
I love to cuddle. Just curling up close to someone can be so relaxing. That's the one thing I miss about my ex, having someone to curl up to. lol
My favorite football teams are the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals and of course my beloved West Virginia Mountaineers. Psst, I even like the Thundering Herd because of course they're another West Virginia team. LOL When it comes to baseball I have always been a Cincinnati Reds and New York Yankees fan. My favorite number is 3 so that should give you a clue as to who one of my favorite racecar drivers of all time is. Then of course there's King Richard. I am also a fan of Dale Jr.
When I read it's usually something by Stephen King or a mystery novel, although I also like romance novels every now and then. My favorite types of movies are horror and comedies. What a combination huh?
Things I dislike include spiders, snakes, cities, heights and needles (can't stand shots or giving blood, but I do have a couple of small tattoos, had to prove to myself I could do it. LOL).
I participate in the forums here on POF. Reading my posts might give you a better idea about who I am than I can here. :-)
While I am primarily looking for a long term relationship I want that relationship to start from the ground up. This means that we would take things slowly by getting to know each other online for a bit, then possibly moving to the phone. After a period of time we are both comfortable with we should meet in person in a public place where we can both feel comfortable as we get to know each other. I truly believe that a couple must be able to be friends above all else. If there's no chance of a true, trusting friendship, there's no chance of a relationship. I am a one man woman who is in search of a man who wants just one woman to spend his life with.
ABOUT YOU:
If you are looking for someone you can own, in other words a submissive type of woman, please, do us both a favor and keep looking. I'm a very strong willed person and will not be told what to do or think. If however you are looking for someone who has a mind of her own and knows what she wants, well then I might be the one for you.
If you are looking for someone who is sophisticated aka high maintenance(IMHO)sorry, I'm far from that. As I've already said, I'm a jeans and tee-shirt type of person. I don't like champagne or wine, unless Boone's Farm counts.
The man I seek has strong, yet loving arms. He has a lot of love to give the one special person in his life and is willing to accept the love she has to give to him. He is NOT married, separated or already in a relationship as I will NOT be party to infidelity.
He must be willing to take things slowly, meet and get to know each other before he expects to take things to the "next level".
He must be willing to give the person in his life the finer things in life such as time to be together and grow as a couple. Things such as jewelry, cars etc are nice, but in the long run they mean nothing. Quality time together, love and compassion mean everything.
I tied my heart to a balloon and set it free. Will you be the one to find it and hold it close to your own protecting it the way I will protect yours? |
