Its interesting, this little blurb that one is supposed to fill out on a dating site, or a personal blog. A few paragraphs to intrigue and allure, to ignite a spark of curiosity or desire and encourage the reader to come find out more.

I could weave a tale to make me sound dashing, exciting, and oh so charming, and make my fair readers swoon, but I'd rather try my luck at that in person. Here, let me be forthright and honest.

I am looking for the kind of girl I can introduce to my friends, some of whom are like family to me. The kind of gal that might find the fighting sport I participate in interesting enough to try, or at least cheer me on from the sidelines. The sort of person who understands what I mean when I talk about how being in the great outdoors gives me peace of mind, and finds the fact that I get tenderhearted about my cat endearing.

A bit of a disclaimer though: I have my quirks. I have a rough and rowdy side, and one that is attentive and is genuinely concerned about the well being of others over my own. A sweet and charming young man is rolled up with a lusty and occasionally wickedly lecherous lad in the same soul.

One further note: For the short term, a bit of dating around is all well and good. I am certainly not opposed to some lighthearted companionship for a time. In fact, I will be leaving for Basic Training with the National Guard in a few months. That said, I also do keep an eye out for that lasting connection. The one that were we to hit it off now would have a soldier coming back to it at year's end.

It comes to this; I am enjoying my time, and it will only be getting better. I would love to share it with someone, be it for a romantic fling or the beginnings of something more long term.

A talk over dinner, and seeing where to go from there. Some of the most enjoyable times I have had with other people are good conversations and long walks. If the chemistry is there when we meet, we will know it, and the rest will fall into place.
