About Me
...to you happen to others. This statement seems to be a good way to understand me. I could say things like "I am a nice guy" but that means different things to different people. I could say "I try to do the right thing" but again, what others think of as right others could think of as wrong. So I say I want to be healthy, so I want others to be healthy. I want to go to heaven when I die, so I want others to go as well. I want to find a good woman, so I want others to do the same as well. While people may not always do the right thing, by thinking less of them because of it you tend to let yourself be corrupted. I may not be innocent of this, but I try, and every night I try to wash myself clean of any such thoughts that may still be in my head. So basically I believe in Jesus, this is a lot of what that means to me.
I'm a computer scientist, a person with a love for logic. I'm only some what logical though, I have a lot of pragmatist in me. If it works, and it doesn't seem immoral, I do it. I'm the kind of person who looks at the bigger picture.
I'm getting my masters degree at SUNY Albany. It's more work than I can even explain. I thought I was smart, but graduate school has definitely let the air out of my balloon. Still though, I'm in the top 2%, but then again pretty much everyone there is. I'm no longer the big fish in a little pond though, so it's weird...
There isn't much sense in saying a lot here. The more I say about myself, the less you'll probably understand me. So I hope we can talk and get to know each other. If making sense matters to you, you think about things in a third person perspective as well as the first (aka you put yourself in other peoples shoes), and you aren't completely bitter, then we could probably get along. I hope to hear from you.
Also, please don't be intolerant, I will occasionally want to speak to you about religion, please be open-minded enough to have these conversations with me.
