About Me
I am looking for a partner. I need someone who will walk with me, hold my hand, lead the way when I can't find it, let me lead when I can be the stronger of the two and is there for a hug regardless of which one of us needs it. I need someone who thinks I am worth the effort, to date, to know, to love. It doesn't mean I don't need help carrying in the groceries, want the door held for me or someone to lean on. Instead of trying to find someone to add to your life, find someone with whom you can build a new life together. I don't think it's about sacrificing what you want or what you have but rather building something new. Love is the ability to put someone else first before yourself. My world is a million shades of grey; it's not all black and white. There are three exceptions to this - cheating, smoking and lying. It's pretty simple - you do or you don't. If you do, I don't.
Positive attitude, great smile, great sense of humour, witty, confident, I think I'm funny and I can laugh at myself. I have a wonderful family and the best friends in the world. I'm a challenge, a bit elusive, vibrant and fun to be around. Energetic, low-maintenance and fun are three words that people typically use to describe me. I'm equal parts grown-up tomboy and flirty girly-girl. My heart has been cracked and patched a few times but who's hasn't? I am willing to take a chance on it again. Ultimately I am looking for a long term thing but you have to start somewhere.
He is confident, ambitious, is not shallow and cares about the important things in life (hopefully he's figured out what they are too). He doesn't smoke, may or may not have kids, has dealt with past relationships and is moving forward. He is emotionally stable and is ready to begin a new chapter in his life too.
I have a lot of interests - I LOVE Oilers hockey, well hockey in general but the Oilers are my team. Yes I watch and yes, I know what's going on. I golfed in a league this summer to improve my golfing "abilities". I tend to spend a lot of time at the dogpark because that's where my dog can have fun being a dog. I play soccer on a ladies league, ran a 6K at the end of April and a 10K (Melissa's) at the end of Sept.
I'm just a small town Saskatchewan farm girl who's found herself living in the big city. A little bit old fashioned, somewhat reserved at first but certainly not shy! I am a glass is half full kind of girl and so not a princess. I think you make time for the things that are important to you. If dating is a priority then I think we could both make time to meet. I don’t hide behind my computer. I have room in my life to share and will make time for someone. The same is expected in return.
