A first date can be anywhere we chat in person for a little while and get to know each other. I like to keep first dates short and sweet, something simple would be best. My favorite is a cup of coffee/Tea at Starbuck's or a Diner. It's easy, casual and just long enough to get a feel for the other person. This way if there doesn't seem to be a connection we aren't wasting each other's time - if it is a good match, then that short meeting is just enough to "whet the appetite" and look forward to seeing the person again.
