I'm a confident, happy woman, with a degree in music but I like to think I have some common sense too and I used to be able to wire a plug before they were all moulded ones and I know how to refelt my shed roof.

I teach music and science for a living..yes weird combination I know, but I like both subjects and have interests in many other subjects.

I like theatre and cinema but I'm not a clubber or the type who likes getting drunk in a bar, although I am not teetotal.

I think my purpose on this Earth is to be happy and make others happy too. I'm not religious but I think I have a Christian attitude, if nothing else.
I don't shout, whinge, moan at people or throw things from my pram and I have a naturally steady good mood. Some might see me as boring, but I see being pleasant and polite as normal.

I have given up smoking this year and I know I will not return to it. I don't appreciate people who take illegal drugs and I'm no longer interested in anyone who smokes....sorry but it's really smelly and us ex-smokers are over sensitive to it.

I'm an animal lover and seem to take in little waifs and strays all over the place. I do eat meat on occasion but mostly prefer vegetarian food.

I don't have any children out of choice. I like them, but couldn't eat a whole one in a single sitting. Ahh come on, I'm a school teacher what did you expect?

I drive my own unwashed car, badly, and have a motorbike license, although I don't have a bike anymore..I thought I'd had a nice long run of good luck and didn't want to spoil it.

I like walking (that's normal 'going out for a walk' not that there hill walking thing)and swimming (just normal 'going to the swimming pool' not training for the olympics)and I have been known to cycle sometimes too (not the milk race).

I'm looking for a man who laughs at everything, knows when to work and when to relax and enjoys the little things life has to offer. I'm not looking for someone who wants to tour the world, or earn loads more money than they could ever spend. More importantly it needs to be someone reliable, intelligent and kind and AROUND MY AGE OR YOUNGER (not interested if you are over 48). I would be a liar if I said looks don't matter, they most certainly do, but I'm often attracted to men who are not traditionally good looking.
