Happy, healthy, straight male, looking for a woman with whom I can explore all the wonderful things life has to offer.

I enjoy my work, have great friends and family, and have a comfortable life...the only thing missing is you! I'd like to have someone I can share experiences with, rather than discovering them alone: cooking together, travelling, hiking, peoplewatching, catching a movie, or just walking and talking.

What do I like in a woman? Intelligence, sense of humour, honesty, openness, and a willingness to explore and have fun -- body type, hair colour, ethnicity, etc. don't matter that much to me, since they're not a determinant of a person's disposition or innate attractiveness, however I would prefer someone who is active and likes to stay fit.

I live and work in Barrie, but I am also happy to travel to see you. I'm generally available evenings (I'm a bit of a night owl) and weekends, but occasionally during the day too (particulary during the summer).

I'm told I'm way younger- and better-looking in person than in my photos, but I suppose there's only one way for you to find that out for yourself... :)

A few notes about the photos:

First off, I'm not a doctor...I just played one at the Barrie POF Hallowe'en 2007 party.

I picked those bananas myself, in Guyana, South America, for a friend's wedding (I also plucked 19 chickens); I belong to a men's cooking club (hence the garb); I spent a week in August '07 on a narrowboat cruising the canals in London; I couldn't help but do the touristy shot with the iconic phone booth; me leaning on the railing over the beach at high tide in Sidmouth, Devon, where I stayed in a seaside cottage for a week; and finally, my profile pic, taken in August '07: me in a pub in Waltham Abbey, Essex, cooling off before heading back to the boat to make dinner.

STOP SHARK FINNING! Watch the excellent documentary "Sharkwater", available at your local video store, to see how horrific this carnage is. Thousands of sharks an hour are caught, have their fins lopped off, and are then tossed back into the sea alive to drown. The fins are only used as a texture (no taste) ingredient in shark fin soup, as an unproven therapy for cancer, and dried and sold as souvenirs. Gwynne Dyer's new 3-part documentary "Climate Wars" on CBC Radio's Ideas is a chilling depiction of the radical short- and long-term measures being considered to deal with the repercussions of climate change.
