This profiling is probably one of the most difficult things in life to do, but here goes!!
Hello! If you are reading this, then thank you for taking the time!

This is where I try to give a sense of who I am, so here goes:
I live alone, and have done so for sometime, and it's amazing what you get used to!
I have got to the stage where I quite value my own space some of the time, but its no fun when it's all of the time!

I would really like a loving man who is very loyal, and has a kind and gentle sense of humour, he would be able to pick me up when I am down, be reasonably even tempered, most of all he would be a sharing person, someone who likes to laugh a lot! I would not be interested in a man who is bigoted and arrogant, or who doesn't love all animals. I wouldn't want an ""Old Man"" (Someone who was old in his outlook, or stuck in a time warp)I would also like a male who doesn't mind wearing a suit on occasion and is a good mixer, as I sometimes have functions to go to and would like a partner for those. Oh, and I would not be too keen on a sports or political fanatic.I don't mind a younger man as long as he doesn't mind me! lol. I like my guys relatively tall, so that I am not looking over their heads when I put heels on!!! he must be a man who takes some pride in their appearance, I like my guys slim, or average, or have a large build but I definately don't have a thing for plump/fat guys, I am sorry if I sound ****y, but thats just the way it is for me!

So that's what I want and don't want, but what do I have to offer? I am a good cook, when I want to be, not so much everyday cooking (find that quite boring because I am only cooking for me!), but special romantic meals lol, I am reasonably intelligent, articulate, a little artistic, am interested in people,world events and life itself,I am a good listener (so I am told) and have a dry sense of humour(again so I am told!) I think I am a nice person. I like to be quiet at times but also like to go out and have a really good laugh, especially with a nice guy. I have never been a cheater, and always like to be as open as I can be within a relationship . I can't say I'm one for sitting on the sofa cuddling up, as I am likely to be getting up often, for various reasons! whether its to answer the phone, make a drink, let the dogs out, or get on with some jobs lol I don't watch soaps or game shows, its mainly documentaries for me and anything to do with animals. I like reading chillers and thrillers. I am not particularly impressed by wealth, it's nice to have but not the be all and end all. I am more impressed by genuine people, the kind of people who will go out of their way to help someone else if its needed.

I don't own my own house or car (I can drive) I drink tea not coffee, I'm not fanatical about anything (too tiring!!) I don't touch drugs, I will go out and have a alcoholic drink, but I am not a big drinker,I have a ethical view on life. Oh! and I have very sweet tooth lol,I like museums, architecture, theatre, antique furniture, I like pottering around in my greenhouse, and I enjoy teaching myself to paint,I also enjoy walks with my dogs,

I am a size 18 top and 12 bottom. (I am only slightly overweight,about 10 lbs too much, but thats going now!)

If you feel that this meets your requirements in a woman, then get in touch, I would obviously prefer to e-chat for a while, then let's see how it goes from there. I'm not good at being rushed into anything, been there, done that and it hurt,... a lot, so I will wait and see what develops from here, Freckly XXX

p.s. When viewing the above photos, can you please bear in mind that they are studio shots taken 4/5 yrs ago and obviously don't show the wrinkles or freckles lol too much make up on in these shots, would never dream of wearing that much normally!!!!

p.p.p.s (14th July 2007)I have just had a birthday, so I am now 56 yrs old ugh!

I will be attending the meet night for all POF members in Manchester City Centre on Saturday the 27th of October 2007, at the Aqua Bar near Deansgate Locks at 8.30pm (that is if I can get the courage together!)

I would probably go ten pin bowling, you can chat with someone alone (and hear them!)have a laugh (either because you have a great sense of humour, or because my nerves are shot), there are always lots of people around to make me feel safe, then, if we liked each other we could meet up again!! I cant say I would like to walk along the beach holding hands! no beach near here, and holding hands with a stranger? don't think so! lol I also wouldn't be too keen on having a meal with a stranger, I would be so nervous I wouldn't eat, and I can't say I am to keen on watching someone I dont know put food in their mouth! lol I also wouldn't say that the chemistry must be there, as I have found that people can be so nervous that their true self doesn't always shine through, I would just like to feel comfortable with someone, and find myself laughing at their humour, being able to laugh with each other is essential,
