Hi everyone - I'm new to this whole online dating thing, just want to see who's out there. I'm currently in my first year at the U of M Medical School. I'm busier than I'd ever have believed, but still open to meeting someone new.

Physically, I'm about 5'11", 155 lbs, dark brown hair and eyes.

Personality-wise, somewhat of a traditional gentleman, and a mature, down-to-earth, nice guy, if I do say so myself. I'm a fan of gestures seemingly lost in today's world, and enjoy doing the little things like opening the door for my date, buying her dinner (ok, not ALL the time), and generally showing her a good time. I'm not an aggressive person, not the frat boy type, not the cheating type, and also not a slack-off; I do have a plan in life, and I'm sticking to it! I like to have a good time, but certainly don't expect too much of a first date.

My perfect match would be someone I can tell anything to - someone to be a true companion as well as a romantic interest. She would need to be self-motiviated, but not to the extent that she's a power hungry monster. Being supportive of others is a major plus, as is a willingness to try new things, or things that I might be interested in, even if she hasn't done them before. Naturally, attractiveness is also important, as is caring for herself and for her image - I always try to look nice for you, think of myself as a reasonably attractive guy, and would hope for the same in return.
