You could say I’m a bit of a mix and you’d be hard-pressed to find something I won’t enjoy. I´ll try almost anything once…that said, please don´t ask me to jump out of a perfectly good airplane.
My taste has been described as insanely eclectic, and I’m not so sure that’s off the mark. I like getting dressed up for a night out to dinner, and I like t-shirt and jeans for a night hanging out at a local pub. On my shelves, you can find music ranging from Patsy Cline to Jack White and movies ranging from The Sound of Music to X-Men.

I’ve never been one to go out looking for adventures or risks, but they seem to find a way into my life. I grew up in a town where I could give directions from the only stop light, but something keeps pulling me toward larger cities. I love being so close to Chicago, but I have to admit that it was more than a little scary moving here with all of my family and most of my close friends still in Minnesota. They’re a very big part of my life and have shaped me into the person I am. When push comes to shove, I’d rather be sure of my family and a few close friends than a world full of casual acquaintances.
So what am I looking for in a guy? Someone open-minded who can accept people for who they are and expects the same from others. Someone who is smart, funny, a little mysterious and confident. He will understand no relationship is always 50/50…your family, your best friends, romance—there will always come a time when one person gives more because the other needs more. I want someone who communicates because while "I just like listening to the sound of your voice" is sweet and romantic, it doesn't tell me a thing about you. You should also have an appreciation for the little day to day things that make up a relationship. And (guys, this is a deal-breaker) you need to be a Christian.
