Okay, I’ll make this as simple as I can. I understand this is a dating website, but regardless of where the relationship goes, it’s important to me to start as friends. Yes, I mean that. Let me be clear on this: The type of relationship I'm looking for is something long term with the very real possibility of - "For as long as we both shall live." If you're looking for less than that, then move on to someone else please. I'm not looking to get married right away, but that IS ultimately the goal.

I don’t claim to be Mr. Perfect or anything. However, I can stand up and confidently say that I am one of the good guys. You won’t get a sweet-talking, flirty, charming guy off the bat. I may turn out to be just that in the long run but I’d prefer you got to know me for ME. Not the kind of guy that I can pretend to be on the surface (the kind of guy that most of you women are used to being in empty relationships with) but rather a genuine, good hearted, respectable man with a good head on his shoulders.

There’s a lot about me that might surprise you but you’ll never find out if you play mind games with me. I haven’t been in a relationship for over a year [more than that now that I've updated this]. Why? Because when I finally decided to start dating again, I quickly realized that there are so many women out there playing these games that I personally don’t have the patience or the tolerance for. Trust me, ladies; most decent guys these days actually do find it a turn-off when you behave that way.

So, long story short, I know there are good women out there. I sincerely hope to find one. The thing is, a woman like that only emerge when she can get out of her own way and be absolutely genuine. Many of you women on here claim to be “Down to earth.” I’d like to meet one that truly is. And I believe that kind of woman wouldn’t be afraid to be real with me.
