I am a perfectly ordinary woman seeking a perfectly ordinary man. I am considered funny but I'm quiet until I feel comfortable with someone. Crowds or parties are usually not much fun for me because I'm so shy in groups. I don't go to church but I suppose I would if it was important to you. I have mixed beliefs about relgion and am not into that 'have you met Jesus' and 'are you saved' stuff. I'm an episcopalian but lasped!

I find it much nicer at my age to pay for a housekeeper and yard mower than to struggle with it and though it is an extravagance, I figure I'm well worth it. I read a lot, listen to Dave Ramsey, plan to travel on a shoestring when I retire (check out couchsurfing.com) like my son does and see the world. I might even be an overseas travel nurse, starting first in Australia. I'm just waiting for all these pets to die off so I can be free and unemcumbered but I could never, ever get rid of them. At least they are getting old! I'm not extravagant and am, in fact, quite frugal as I have just recently realized I need to save for my retirement so have made that a priority in my life.

I can make gumbo that would make you slap your mama. Normally I don't cook more than a pot of beans or a salad now and then but I suppose I could if it was important to you.

I have a lot of pets, a good job, plenty of free time and no kids or baggage to tie me down. I DO have kids, but they are grown and live elsewhere. I'm not much of a housekeeper and rather disorganized but I'm fun and sweet and caring. I like to read and watch the 'judge' shows on tv and do outside things if it isn't too cold or too hot. My family is the most important thing in the world to me and I cherish being their mom.

If you like to read nonfiction, play Scrabble and know who Bill Bryson is, even better! throw in waterparks, hummus sandwiches with tomatoes and a dose of boggle and a love of going to bookstores, maybe a pinch of dave ramsey and there you go! its true love!

First date - meet at a restaurant or Starbucks for talk and sharing a meal or coffee. Talk, talk, talk, the man I hit it off with will be my best friend and someone that I could and would talk to all night long. I'm looking for a best friend first, lover/serious relationship would maybe grow from that. Someone to do stuff with and have fun with and be buddies with would be wonderful...then we can see where we would go from there! BUT if you asked me to go fishing or camping with you, I'd jump on it~ If you are just looking for a fling or quick sex, don't bother writing me. Not interested.
