In a nutshell- I am a soldier in US Army currently stationed in Germany after a 15 month tour of duty in Iraq. Not fun. Ideally, I'd like to meet people on a local level, but given the military life I‘m open to any distance, and subsequently working to close the gap if things go well. Biggest problem with my being in Germany, is I don’t speak German. (Yet) I have a dry sense of humor (typically enjoy British comedy but loath slapstick) and enjoy sci-fi flicks as well as more edifying films such as The Mission. I consider myself fairly cosmopolitan. I enjoy traveling and have an eclectic taste in music but especially enjoy classical. It is not beyond me to see Shakespeare for a matinee and then an Eminem concert at night. I am open minded but also extremely opinionated in my beliefs. If I had to choose to be any animal, I’d like to be a dolphin because they’re smart, playful, and adventurous and if I were a car I’d be something like a Jeep - practical, reliable, and adventurous. I’m not sure that I’m any or all of those things, but I’d like to think so. By the way, I'm not a typically good speller. Once during a job interview, my future boss asked me what I thought of my spelling and I said: "Why I'm completely against it!" Finally, despite the fact that I've traveled often, I've several friends whom I've known since high school, and longer, in other words, I'm extremely loyal once I'm committed. A good first date would be a lunch date, either on a Friday or Saturday afternoon, at an art museum. First we’d meet for a coffee, and then stroll through the galleries and discuss our various impressions of art and each other.
