****My family and friends are extremely important to me and as such almost nothing else in the world matters! Currently, I live at home with my Dad and my brother--my Mom passed away with breast cancer last November 27th and to that extent I truly know how important it is to cherish every minute with your loved ones! I have no desire what so ever to leave my Dad and will continue to look after him as he ages. I know to that extent that it may be difficult to find someone who may be interested in considering a long term relationship as many people now adays do not opt to live in extended families. But be as it may, it doesn't mean that I quit looking for either a long term partner or friends who are interested in getting to know me!****

We are all here for various reasons, most of which i believe is to find others who can compliment us in our lives, whether that is as a friend,someone to hang out with and possibly even someone who can be our life partners. I have two main purposes which I am primarily looking for:

(1) friends--I honestly don't believe one can ever find their life partners without knowing people on a friendship level first

(2) for a possible long term commitment where I may find that ideal person, although I believe from my past experiences with the net it will be extremely tough but not impossible.

With this said I don't think that it is likely that anyone who i do eventually connect up with and who is interested in being my friend is going to be my life partner as my expectations are somewhat different (i.e. I will accept any person as a friend who is both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, however, I will not accept a life partner who is not vegetarian regardless of how much I may like her as it simply goes against something that is very important to me, especially living in a meat free house--it just wouldn't work--sorry!!!)

The other thing that I would like to convey in regards to having friends vs. life partner as shallow as this may sound is that there needs to be that physical attraction for me to consider having a person as a life partner, however, I will not turn anyone away who is sincere in being my friend and who I believe I can have something in common with--something to equally exchange and offer to keep the friendship interesting and worth while!

My friendship is relatively easy to gain, however, those who wish to truly know me must put in the time and effort and I will return it in kind. And to that extent, I only really have a handful of close friends, but I am happy with that because if I were seeking to be popular and to be everyone's intimate friend it would be totally impossible, so I completely understand if people are choosy although in truth I wish that I could call everyone my friend;least of all would I ever want to have anyone consider me an enemy--grrr(lol)!

What am I looking for?

the usual stuff--

someone who deals with me as openly and honestly as possible (look you don't need to tell me your personal stuff) just don't lie to me in regards to our own dealings

someone who actually knows how to give as much as she knows how to take because I will definitely reciprocate in kind--I believe in equal exchanges and fairness in my dealings with people

someone who understands that if you plan to do something to put in the effort to follow through but at the very least if that can't be done let people know so that they are not planning things and trying to organize it in vain!

someone who is fair in their overall dealings and truly understands and values the meaning of family and friends!

With this said, if anyone is interested in wanting to learn more about me, you know what to do (just ask and I will tell you everything that I can as honestly as possible--with the caveat that what I deem that you are inquiring about is appropriate for the amount of trust and contact that I have with you--remember I'm one who values fair exchanges--the more that I get to know and trust you, the more I will let you in about my life--I hope that you will extend to me the same courtesy!!!)

At this point in time I would not want to put any pressure on either myself or the person that i am with because that is something that can ruin a potential life long friendship, so let us not call having the opportunity to meet a date but rather going out and doing something we both enjoy. I would honestly like to take things a little bit slowly and have the chance to get to know someone over tea and then possibly a walk around town (i.e. downtown, the beach, etc.) anywhere where we can continue to chat and enjoy taking in everything that the surroundings have to offer.

If we feel comfortable enough in knowing each other then I wouldn't mind doing something more active like playing pool (let me warn you right now--I'm actually pretty decent at it!!!), bowling (well--not too good sometimes the gutterball/loft king and sometimes the hot hand especially when I bowl without my glasses--lol), a movie (I welcome almost anything and will give and take here--let me let you in on a secret, I love chick flicks and tear jerkers (shhhhh!) in addition to action, drama and things that often go bang!!! mind you at the heart of what i like there needs to be an excellent script).

Ultimately, I am willing to give and take and believe that it really doesn't matter what I do but rather with who I am accompanied with (I bet you were thinking that I would say doing it with--geesh get your minds out of the gutter--lol, but hey there's nothing wrong with that--because sex is a natural human need and eventually we all engage in it!)
