I'm a nice guy looking for a similar female. Wide range of interests: travel, people, reading, sports (especially golf, but also tennis, and snow skiing). I'm upbeat, bright, quick and fun (blush). I travel quite a bit (mainly for fun) and have good friends in many places (Dallas, Chicago, London in particular). My family is important to me, and it's spread from Wisconsin to Austin to Denver. I've come to know that I prefer people who are open, bright, centered, fun, quick-witted, and don't take themselves too seriously. I enjoy going to small live music venues and like a wide variety of music: Texas music, blues, rock and roll, and some classical. My main sport is golf and I play as often as I can, but I like other sports too. I read a lot, mostly non-fiction (but make exceptions for writers like Kundera and Plath. Two things I wish I could do better: play guitar and cook. My life has been really pretty good and improves almost every year -- I'd like someone to share it with.

I think first meetings should be as low stress as possible. Something like a gallery tour, or a long lunch -- a place to talk comfortably and have some fun at the same time. A first date would be some mutually agreeable fun at a later time.
