I’ve spent the last eight years as a single parent raising my two kids. My son since he was 19 months old, and his stepsister since she was four. The stepdaughter isn’t living here as home now, but life overall is really pretty good. The boy and I both think it could potentially be even better though with the right addition to the family. I realize I’m looking for something unusual, but know that as half the right team, with the right lady the potential’s there for something really extraordinary.

I live close to work now, (For obvious reasons.) but have thought about some land outside of town. Can design and build most anything you might think of, and enjoy doing it. (In fact at this point it’s probably what I’d enjoy most.) Love rehabbing old places, even made a dollar or two profit at it. Been with the same firm over 20 years, don’t see myself retiring totally, but get a month a year now with more vacation time a sure thing if I want it as time goes on.

Not real fond of cell phones or watching other people play sports, but in one phase of my life or another I‘ve enjoyed skydiving, camping, dancing, bowling, target shooting, motorcycles and live bands. (Listening - and even performing once upon a time.) Used to garden about an acre with a couple of friends, and we did our own canning. Ready to expand my horizons, but till recently it’s been pretty simple for a time. Cruisin in my classic jeep with the doors off, shopping with the kids, family get togethers with the horses and pond. Busy single parent stuff.

The most important thing I’ll be looking for in a woman will be how she feels about me. Chemistry is as important as people say it is, and laughter really is the best medicine. I know any lady’s going to have her own interests, but it’ll be the quality of the time we share that’ll be most important. Daytime when we’re working, playing, or combining the two. And most of all, the time we spend behind closed doors. A monogamous, passionate woman with a sensuous nature is a gift to be treasured, and openly appreciated. And I’m willing to wait as long as it takes for the one who feels the same way about me.

They say the more you write here the better. But I don’t buy it. I expect that before I actually meet someone we’ll have written one another back and forth for a while. Talked on the phone even longer, and decided between us what’s most comfortable for a first face to face.

Now the second date if there is one – that’s another matter entirely ---------
