I did the grouse grind last year and my time was 1hr 18mins. Bear in mind, I had been skimboarding the day before. If you haven't been skimboarding, it's definitely awesome and you should. Also, drink a Bud Light Lime - you'll be surprised even if you don't like beer.

I'd say going for coffee is most stressful. It's like an interview. Pointed questions, pretense and nervousness ensue.. I'd rather hit the beach, lay out a towel, throw down a skimboard and consume some alcoholic beverages not-so-legally in public.
