In the past I've rushed into relationships and I don't want to do that again. I really want to take the time to get to know you and see where it leads.
I have great family and friends that are very special to me, but would like a true companion. Someone to laugh & cry with, hold hands & cuddle with, & just enjoy life with. Someone who can be there for me through thick and thin, and vice versa. However, I'm not willing to settle for just anyone. There needs to be chemistry. I would rather be alone than in a bad relationship.
I'm not one to toot my own horn, but friends say I am a very loyal and giving person, shy at first but warm up quickly. I'm easy on the eyes and have a nice smile. I grew up on a farm and am a country girl at heart. I don't mind getting dirty but clean up nicely for an evening out.
I'm very laid back and enjoy the simple things in life: spending time with family & friends, spending time with my dog (a terrier mix rescued from the SPCA), a ride through the countryside in my '79 VW convertible, car shows & cruise-in's, lawn parties, outdoor concerts, yard sales, auctions, picnic's, a walk on the beach (Outer Banks) or in the mountains, jet skiing or boating (I've always wanted to try windsurfing!), sunsets, campfires, smores, eating out (El Charro's is my favorite), dancing (nothing fancy), horseshoes, pool, darts,(not very good at those but always willing to take part), laughing (usually at myself), movies (comedy, mystery, adventure), motorcycles (no, I don't own one, just like to ride), etc etc....I'm always open to new adventures.
