I once took an online test that said that only 8% of men would be interested in my type. I think that is because I am a little bit wonky. What I mean is that I am probably 1% too serious -- I don't always get the joke right away -- I care about the state of world affairs -- etc, but still, I am an interesting and friendly and a great kisser.

Intelligence is very important to me. I thrive on conversation about the goings on in the world and how they interrelate and philosophical discussions (but not heated arguments).

I like quiet outdoor activities, such as walking, cycling, hiking (sailing, if someone will take me) and just sitting somewhere peaceful and beautiful talking some and observing some. When time permits I read (Newsweek, the Onion and fiction). As far as going out, I tend to prefer offbeat places, independent movies, and smaller venues.

Physical attraction is as important to me as intellectual attraction, but I'm not looking for what society has defined as "handsome." Eyes, smile and personality are more important than height and hair!

I like the first meeting to be a shorter encounter -- drinks or coffee. No pressure, just chatting about one another and whatever else comes up.
