What's it like to claim to want one thing and yet seek the opposite? A very good friend of mine has elected to stay in an unfaithful and abusive relationship for the reasons I list below. Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks for stopping by!
What you claim to want, which is what I am:
I am a graduate of a private Catholic university in the Quad Cities. (Magna Cum Laude!

) I work as an executive at a large company in the Quad Cities that will provide a great deal of upward momentum. I'm a very career oriented person, but I like to have fun in my free time as well, leaving the office at the office. I enjoy being spontaneous, surprising that special person with flowers at work or a "just because I thought you'd like it" little gift from time to time. I have a very poetic heart and am told that I have very soulful, penetrating eyes. I'm looking for someone special that shares my varied interests which include books, poetry, art, music, outdoor activities, and I love to cook, especially for two! I have an Italian background, so if you like Italian food, I'm the guy for you!
I am an intelligent, well-read and educated man just out here looking for the same things you are. Also, just a heads-up, I'm possibly the most un-photogenic person on the planet. Trust me, I'm much cuter in person! LOL Send me a note and lets see where it takes us!
What you seek, which apparently unfortunately I am not:
I'm the guy that will show up 2 hours late, unshowered and reeking of cheap cologne yet all is forgiven because i'm 6'4". I'm the guy that can't lift a finger around the house because i'm too busy watching football and drinking beer and being that oh so stupid man that if it weren't for you wouldn't have the sense to turn his head to breathe. Oh yeah, and i'm the guy that will cheat and lie and yet will be constantly forgiven because you somehow can't picture yourself without me. Oh yes, and I have tattoos and drive a harley, how could you possibly resist me!?
If this strikes a chord and you're ready to evolve say hello; otherwise good luck in that viscious little circle!
A first date would consist of dinner and drinks, perhaps even homemade, followed by a long walk or a bike ride in the park, or perhaps a concert, play, or movie. I like to spend the first date really getting to know the person. That first conversation can tell a lot about someone.
"Come and walk with me a while...and let me hear the gentle whisperings of your heart...and I will make you see the world in an entirely different light..."
