Who am I? Hmmm, I could say I'm a free spirit, though that might understate the case. I have my own sense of style, my own way of doing things. I'm tall, furry, eccentric, funny, kind, I love children and animals of all sizes..

I like being outdoors, in the sun, the sand, the garden and the water. I like to help people, because it makes me feel good. I'm a musician and a music collector. I play dijeridoo, bass, drums, and slide guitar, I drum syncopated, and like to spin fire once and a while. I listen to all kinds of music, though currently on my playlist is lots of reggae, dub, hiphop and bluegrass.

I have a beautiful Daughter who doesn't live with me right now, she is happy livin with her mum though i bring her out here as often as possible, and often disapear into the interior to see her.

I drive a Volvo, and a Bigass bus with a crippled old Hound Dog riding shotgun. I have dreams someday of a Straw bale house in the hills, goats on the roof, a dog, a 4x4, a garden and a full root celler. I have dreams of taking off to hunt mushrooms for the summer (the money kind not the majic kind)- and sailing south in the winter.


I am recently and currently based here in Vancouver, I am trying to create a healthy lifestyle for myself and my daughter that will allow us to travel and experiance the people and sights of this great country while finding interesting and varied work experiances.

I am currently working in the entertainment industry, doing show production, I am a rigger/spot op/general lighting tech/cable puller, Film Grip, Rigging Grip - just call me a roadie if you want though. I just got back from Touring with ZZ Top, what a great band, what a great experiance!! I will have crazy hours through next spring - though I might just skip south and avoid the whole chaotic olympic mess. Mexico anyone?

I see a lot of shows, a LOT of big concerts but still enjoy getting out and seeing live music and small productions.

I do my best to live my life intentionally and on purpose. That means I do things most people would never think of doing, and that there are things others do without even thinking about that I will not do. (or at least not without thought.) I have strong convictions and opinions and enjoy debating and learning new ideas and viewpoints. My friends might call me funny, caring, honest and capable. I always help little old ladies across streets and hold the door. I flirt with the little old ladies on the skytrain. I have a good sense of humor and can laugh at myself. (and do) I wear kilts everyday I can because they are comfortable, not just because I look dead sexy in them (though I do) I don't watch sports, read the sports pages, or wear ball caps. Does that tell you something?

I am very confident in myself, but at times can still be painfully shy.


This is the part where I talk about why I am on POF. (I admit it, it's to meet girls! lol)

I have to say that I'm not "looking" for anything but new friends, and new adventures right now, I'm busy focusing on my career, and figuring out this crazy city life. (Seriously? Millions of people everywhere you go? Kind of creepy.) But I still like going for drinks, walkin the sea wall, and other such non work stuff with people and my greasy work buddies just don't cut it.

I know that the perfect girl for me and my life is out there somewhere, and my finding her eventually will be no so much in "looking" as in being receptive. That being said I'm receptive! I look forward to the day where my breath is taken away, where the chemestry is overwhelming, where the conversation is easy, the arguments firy, the lovemaking is earth shattering, and the sleepovers are comfortable and feel natural.

I'm not holding my breath on finding my soulmate on this site, but just in case that she may be YOU, (or that you may know her and can let her know where she can find me...), here is sort of what I am actively manifesting. I'm looking for someone who is cute and funny, who likes meeting new people, and is equally happy with a walk as a run. Someone who likes my dog. A girl who is NOT all about being cool, wearing the latest whatever and carrying a tiny little dog. A girl who knows herself, who knows what permaculture is, who seeks and values freedom. Someone who I can play music for, make music with, and who will also serenade me at times.

I like women who are capable, and who are not afraid to get a little dirty and who are not afraid to learn new skills and experiance something new. I am NOT all about looks, though I have my preferences - please don't be offended. I find healthy = attractive. (note I said healthy, not anorexic thin) I'm looking for a friend, a best friend even, a partner in life, or parts of it anyways. Somebody who will back me up in public even if you disagree in private. (I promise to return the favor) Somebody who will cuddle up at night and who fits under my arm. Somebody who understands that though I am charming and wonderful I am also a MAN, and I think like one. And having said that understand that I am still a boy at heart.

I recently read something on relationships that I'm pondering, Relationships are not a matter of sharing 50/50, it's 100/100. I like this ideal and I wish I had learned this earlier.

Acceptance is one of my core virtues, If you have a problem with gays, immigrants, Islam or burly Canadians please dont' waste both of our time.

In the summer I love beachin, just chillin with the waves lappin my feet with a cold beer in hand. and in the fall and winter I love curling up on a couch with a warm drink or bottle of wine and a warm body and watching a movie or two.
