I am looking to meet someone who can show me new things that I've either never thought about or been too afraid to try alone. I'm a city girl, but I like the outdoors, I just don't often explore on my own. Softball, jet-skiing, camping, hiking and watching YOU fish are just some of the things I'd like to try.
I've often been called fearless, I just call it a momentary lapse of common sense. Sense of humor is very important to me - the more twisted the better. I love to laugh and make other people laugh. It is very important that my man be able to take a joke. I'm a total wise-@$$ as is my son and that is not likely to change any time soon.
I'm assertive so guys who are looking for a Stepford Wife need not reply. I'm very liberal and extremely unconventional. I'm intelligent, very affectionate and incapable of curtailing public displays of affection. I'm an optimistic person by nature, although I have my moods. I'm a dreamer and an explorer. I often have a hard time staying in the here and now, my mind is always onto the "next" thing, whatever that is.
I'd like someone who is steady enough to keep my feet on the ground, but flexible enough to move with me. I'm a bit of a show-off. I love karaoke and have done stand up comedy a few times, but I think people driving on the road get to see my best performances while I'm rocking out to Disturbed while driving my Grandma-mobile - my Buick LeSabre. Which brings us to......
I love music - Anything that rocks! I like reading - I love Koontz, King, Rice, Crichton and reading spiritual and self-help books. My latest love is hockey. Went to my first Lightning game back in November and have been hooked ever since. Would love to meet someone who is interested in going to games since I've been known to go it alone. I am as happy sitting on the couch as I am at a concert or anything else we might do, as long as we are together.
I believe in working to be the best me I can be and doing what I can to make my world a better place. Currently that involves going to the gym quite often as I am trying to get myself in shape. In the past I have been a youth advisor for my church (I am one of the few people you will ever meet that ENJOYS teenagers) and volunteering for a domestic violence project.
I have many interests and would like a man with a number of his own - it makes for better balance. I like all sorts of guys from Tattooed Harley Bad Boys to the 40 Year Old Virgin. I just need to feel that "click".
Having me for a friend or a mate may be a lot of things, but dull is not one of them. Fun, frustrating, exciting, but never dull.
P.S. Just kidding with the headline. A very good, very straight friend of mine had a gay dream about me the other day. I told her that I thought it would make an outstanding headline for my profile. What do you think?
ADDENDUM
I am the guardian of two dogs. Notice my choice of words. Some might call them "pets", to me they are family. They are "inside" dogs. I wouldn't expect you to leave your children out in the yard all day, don't expect me to leave my dogs out in this inhumane weather. They love me likely more than you ever will, so I'm not going to be treating them like second class citizens in their own home because my current beau doesn't understand the relationship I have with my dogs. Love me, love my dogs.

First Date
First date, hmmmm...... I believe first dates should offer the opportunity to SPEAK so that we can ascertain where this is going. Intelligence, wit and the ability to communicate will go a lot further with me than looks so a good chat is my first choice. Coffee house, dinner, a drink at a bar where you can hear each other. Walking on a beach, while cliche, usually affords a quiet place to chat and a lovely backdrop. While not the best place for speaking, I would never turn down a Lightning game as a first date either. Also wouldn't mind a first date at the dog run. I'll show you mine if you show me yours.
