I just looked at my feet, and noticed I am wearing pants instead of shorts today, and I am in tennis shoes
rather than my usual Topsider FlipFlops. That is how I can tell winter is not too far away.

I like alpine skiing and have spent much of my life living in the magnificant ski resorts of Colorado. (Hence: Dan-at-Vail.)
Playing in the snow is so much fun! As a registered ski instructor, I enjoyed bringing beginners to this wonderful, healthy sport.
Learning is a passion with me, and I have been a college teacher. Being a student is a much better fit for me though.

Music, concerts and dancing are so much fun. I never get enough of the Eagles, and Nickelback is good. I like Dido, and also
Zydeco (cajun), from a band called Beausoleil, Other favorites are Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Steve Miller Band,
Tangerine Dream, J.S.Bach, ELO, Coldplay, Nora Jones, Queens of the Stone Age, and, of course, the best band of all time,
the Beatles. If one song says it it all, I think it is "Let it be". Paul McCartney at his very best.

Visiting all types of museums, and art galleries is so worthwhile. I don't watch much TV. I rarely pick up a newspaper.

Last summer I saw The Doobie Brothers and The Beach Boys live at the Ventura County Fair, and both bands really rocked!
I saw Kevin Costner and his band here last summer too! Huey Lewis and Rick Springfield are playing at the fair this summer!

Favorite artists...God, My daughter Christen, My daughter Dana, My son Philip, My son Joey. I like the imaginations of Claes Oldenburg, Jim Dine, Robert Rauschenberg, Frank Stella, Christo, Michaelangelo, Imhotep, and Leonardo DaVinci. My mentor, C. Robert Schwieger, Jay Vigon, Margo Zafer Nahas, Mike Salisbury, and Amenhotep son of Hapu.

Go take a look at a globe of tiny planet earth...Look for the line where the green part borders the blue part. If you look really carefully you can see that line between the green and blue, moving in and out. Listen very carefully and you will hear the waves gently caress the sand. If you look even closer, there I am, looking up, waving and smiling... waiting for you.
