About me, the toned down version.
I grew up moving around a lot, and have been single most of my life, does it matter or not if I've married? I have no children, I was a hairdresser for years, which payed for my degree in library science.
I've lived alone for the past 7 years or so, and must say, I do better with a mate, but appreciate my time alone also.
I am interested in various cultures, people and travel. And consider myself to be easily approachable, open minded, and a lively conversationalist.
I am outgoing, live a bit vicariously, and switch interests like I change clothes, freqeuntly and varied.
I love music and have a huge collection, mostly blues, reggae, and I like jazz when I am working.
I am an avid reader, book collector and try to swtch styles of reading material by having several books going at once.
I am trained as a jeweler, silvermith, stone cutter, and do some gold and silver casting and gem setting.
I love to knit, crochet, spin, weave, work with both hard and soft glass, do cloissonne work with powdered glass in a kiln.
I like antiques and have quite a varied collection of furniture and jewelry and dishes, quilts, you name it. I have done furniture refinishing, chair caning.
At one time I collected mopeds, and had 13 of them in storage, and loved riding them for little trips to the store, and so on. I have a mountain bike, but don't ride it very much anymore.
I don't go to the gym like I used to , but I do like swim, and can ride a motorcycle, a snowmobile, or anything with wheels. A group up us used to torture taxi drivers on skates or boards, but one too many falls sort of ended that fun.
I watch foreign, independent, and avante guarde films.


What kind of man am I looking for? No preconcieved notions here. No age race or social status limits are applied. I like talkers, who can listen, people who make me think, and people with big hearts. Doesn't matter if you are a weightlifter, or disabled and in a wheelchair, I am open to accepting and gracious souls into my life. I try not to judge anyone, feel like I can learn something from most every encounter.
I am not a kinky one, but I have seen and expereinced a varied crosssection of folk, and if it floats your boat, it's none of my business. I have no major skeletons in my closet, and consider myself to be pretty much an open book. but I don't like a lot of questions, or the old 'ask me anything' type conversations, share what you want, what's interesting to you, and chances are I'll have something to add.

I've met quite a few people from POF, even traveled cross country, and ocean to satisfy my curiosities, , such as, "Is this the one?" And have not met a person that I didn't enjoy talking with yet!

One last thing, I am the worlds most horrid typist, and rarely correct my mistakes, so if that bothers you, ciest la vies!

Oh , and I guess some things are too serious to be taken seriously and others' too funny to laugh about.

Yea, ok I will get serious for a minute. I can talk to anyone that speaks english and enunciates. I am a magnet for the unsuspecting, a thorn in the side of the bourgeois, an antagonist by nature, a devils' advocate, free thinker, (whatever that means) and basically a pissed off buggar. I keep odd hours, I don't play by the rules, and I can't take a lot of shit. My patience level is low with not the incapable, but only those who choose it. I have morals, very few, but stringent. I am dyslexic, deaf and a smart girl who's not too wise.

My hearts' in a good place, take from it what you can use.

I am just like the rest of us, doing the best I can.

oh, and I am the middle of a bloody life crisis. Nothing special, just your run of the mill ordinary every day crisis.

I don't want to live to be a ripe old age, or leave much of anything behind, not even a legacy ...

I like to take walks, and talk. Doesn't matter where, and I don't mind about the weather. Rain, snow, cloudy, sunny skies, and talk about anything at all. Drives are great too, as long as I get to be a passenger, I am a good driver, but I dislike driving, unless it's in a rural or less travelled area.
