Well then, now that I've got all that out of the way...
Thank you for stopping by.
I'm now living in Ottawa and new to the city (recently moved from Toronto). Looking to make new friends and maybe something more.
Please have a picture (of you!) if you care to contact me. I keep getting traffic from people without a picture. Please & Thank you.
I'm a good natured person, easy going and down to earth with a good sense of humour.
I lead a quiet and sedate existence with a rewarding career.
If you're looking for some drama in your life, then please go to the theatre.
What am I looking for? Basically, the same traits I've mentioned about myself. I like women with smarts and a good sense of humour. Both traits go hand in hand and are almost never mutually exclusive.
I also should mention that I don't follow any exclusionary or extremist positions in life and I would like for you to be of the same mindset. We all have our prejudices/preferences/biases but at least keep a relative open mind in general. You don't have to like everything that comes your way but you don't have to get your nose out of joint either for every little thing. Comprende? LOL!
Some miscellaneous stuff.....
Movies: I'm partial to action/adventure flicks but I like anything that is good. Some of my faves include:
Manchurian Candidate (1962 version)
Deliverance
Taxi Driver
Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead
Glengarry Glenross
To Live And Die In L.A.
L.A. Confidential
The Godfather (I & II)
Usual Suspects
American Beauty
Reservoir Dogs
The Exorcist
The Incident
Maria Full Of Grace
Dr. Strangelove
Fail-Safe
Soylent Green (its peeeeoople!)
Silence of the Lambs
Goodfellas
Any of the Jurassic Park movies.
All good ones worth checking out.
I was told the "Titanic" movie was good (if kinda long) but someone said the ship sinks at the end so it kind of ruined it for me. Maybe I'll rent it someday.
Movies To Avoid:
Quickchange/Life Aquatic of Steve Zissou (Bill Murray hasn't done anything funny in years)
Hulk (the 2003 Ang Lee release, he made the Hulk seem like Shrek)
Godfather III (its as bad as the first two movies are good)
The first Star Wars prequel, The Phantom Menace. More like the Phantom Mess!
Anything with Martin Lawrence in it. (The guy has a bad case of the plot crabs)
Music: I like classic rock. Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Pink Floyd, Rush, etc. I've been collecting music since 1983. I do like some of the new fangled stuff.
Music to avoid:
Any artist whose resume has the word "Idol" in it.
(No, I'm not referring to Billy Idol as someone here had asked me about that)
Bands/Artists I've seen include:
The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, U2, Rush, Robert Plant/Jimmy Page, Bruce Springsteen, Tragically Hip, Elton John, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, Alanis Morrisette, Barenaked Ladies, Our Lady Peace, Bonham, Primus, Tom Cochrane, Living Colour, Fishbone, 54 40, The Cult, Sue Medley, The Police.
Is it me or am I the only who thinks Celine Dion looks like a horse?
What's that joke: "Celine Dion walks into a bar and orders a drink. The bartender says, "Why the long face?"
Movies I've seen this fall:
Capitalism: A Love Story - The only time I ever see documentaries in a movie theatre are the Michael Moore docs. For fans of Moore only. He's the Lou Dobbs of the Left in America.
2012 The Movie - The disaster has already occured and it took the form of this awful and boring pic. I'm still waiting for that Y2K thing from 10 years ago to pan out.
This was a tad long. Perhaps you could have been doing something else.

Keep it simple and relaxed. A meeting over coffee would be best.
