What am I looking for in a partner? Honesty is extremely important to me. I have been on my own long enough that a long term relationship has to be something special to let that person in my life on a permanent basis. Having great chemistry between us is also a plus. I have met some very nice men but without that attraction a long term relationship is hard to maintain.
I keep busy with gardening in the summer. Golf is also something I like to do in my spare time. Winter is the time when I try to get caught up on my reading and other hobbies. I enjoy dining out or going to the movies just as much as I enjoy sitting at home in front of my fireplace and watching TV.
I took art in high school and through out the years colour and texture and loving original art work have been a part of my life. If you visited my house you would find paintings, pottery and subtle colour on my walls. You would also find a very relaxed and comfortable home, not a designer house. You can put your feet on the coffee table and I won't get mad. I love wood so my furniture is solid cheery or oak depending on which room you are in. If something needs fixing around the house I almost always try to fix it myself first. That includes electrical or plumbing.

A first date to me usually means meeting for a coffee somewhere. Sitting down and talking is the only way to see if you want to go from there.
