My cat follows me in the shadows and I keep him because he reminds me of you. I held him in my palm in his infancy. And at my birth you held me. And that was only yesterday, well not really. But the summer turned to fall on those days when I couldn't get to it, to you. In me I had you, the whole time I struggled, you carried me through. The memory can really hurt you, it can anguish your soul. To cut it and watch it go white, then blackness. But I know how to say, 'no'. Only I don't. I won't. Not yet. Not till I take all I can get. And give all to pay my debt. And this to me is life with out and with love, my love. And do not attempt to understand 'cause only a soul can demand, the answer in time, before time comes to collect, all the memories you've bought with your life...
