Physically I am a very young late 50's - most typically/honestly guess maybe 5+ years younger, 6ft 2in, 180, brown hair/mustache, and have two “children with fur” that are orange female tabbies/litter mates. My favorite outdoor sport is racing sailboats (locally, regionally and nationally), something that I try to do as often as possible.

I am by nature inquisitive, and am always interested in learning new things that happen to peak my interest. I have a long time interest in and a great appreciation for the arts (Fear No Art!) and music (all types except rap/crap) having had a mother that was a professional artist here in Dallas and a father that played the piano (grew up with a Steinway in our living room). I wound up playing the French Horn through school but can't draw a straight line much less paint.

Ideally I would like to meet someone who has their own set of interests/passions - please tell me about yours. I would hope that she would at least tolerate my interests while I would be more than glad to strongly support hers. We would not need to be together 24/7, but would always look forward to being together and sharing/supporting each other through life's experiences and travails.

One of my favorite quotations is that by Jack London - "The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time." A corollary might be - "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention or arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming: "Wow - what a ride!"
