The two most important things to me are my family and music. I have the sweetest parents in the world who've raised me to be kind, considerate and respectful. I have an apartment in the east end of the city with my big brother, one of the coolest people in the world. He taught me to listen to good music and keeps me on top of new and amazing things in the industry.

I like music with horns, bells and keys.

When I go out, I like to go to places that sport "alternative" cultures. I like to dance, but I'm not good at it. Lucky for me, indie kids aren't expected to look good on the dance floor. At least not in club or other mainstream scenes. No offense, I probably won't want to go out dancing with you, though. This is my once in a while let loose with my girlfriends sort of thing.

I go to a lot of shows. Alone. So I can enjoy the music and not care what I look like to other people.

I like reading, writing and people watching in coffee shops. This, combined with my taste in music, makes people think I'm a pretentious pseudo intellectual.

But I actually am pretty smart. I have a university degree in communications and an Ontario graduate certificate in corporate communications and public relations. I know these declarations don't make me smart, but they certainly don't hurt.

I always write in full, grammatically correct sentences, including on MSN and in text messages.

Everyone is particular when it comes to finding someone to be in a relationship with, but the specifics are rarely the same. Some people want someone who is fit, some want a non-smoker, non-drinker, non-drug user. I just want someone who dresses like Conor Oberst.

Okay, maybe there's a little more to that. I'm looking for a balance of artsy, indie kid and young professional. That person is incredibly difficult to find.

If your screen name has words such as "hot," "sexy" or the number 69 in it, I probably don't want to talk to you. Further, I'm not into looking at pictures of guys standing next to cars or guys with their shirts off.

Oh, and I'm a Sens fan. Sorry Toronto, that's what four years in Ottawa will do to you. Also, the Leafs are really bad. Seriously. Don't pretend you believe otherwise. If you like Vancouver, that's totally acceptable. But really, I don't care what team you like as long as you don't care what team I like.

I don't take this site very seriously. I mean, I'd love to hit it off with someone and I'll embrace that if it happens. But, don't be surprised if our correspondences are pretty nonchalant.

Ironically lame things that I am not afraid to admit I like to do, such as bowling or mini-golfing. However, coffee is the sure thing for an initial meeting.
