I try not to take things for granted. i do what i can to find the good in each situation and have a positive attitude, but it is a daily struggle. my awareness to the fact that the way i look at things creates my reaction to them makes that struggle much easier. i find beauty in the small things in life.
I have had more jobs than I can recall. My Uncle passed away recently and while researching his life to write his eulogy I was inspired to go back to school. I am studying Journalism to pursue my goal of becoming a writer. I want to write for a magazine, traveling and getting paid to document my adventures. I have been published on a few websites and will soon have bits of a travel article I wrote published in Surfer Magazine so I am on my way to reaching my goal. I am passionate about indie music, I love "singer/songwriters" but am open to many different types of music. Some greats are Iron and Wine, Horse Feathers, Joey Ryan, Bon Iver, Bonnie Prince Billy, Xavier Rudd, Jose Gonzalez, I could go on an on, but if you have never heard of any of those people do yourself a favor and check them out!
I love the outdoors! Surfing, climbing, backpacking, hiking, running, mtn biking, snowboarding and just enjoying nature.
I desire travel and adventure. Even if it is just a short weekend trip to Santa Barbara to climb, camp and hit some hot springs.
I love black and white photography and random art. I wish I could draw/paint but I am not good so I must stick to using my words and camera as my form of creativity.

Well is it the first "date" or the first "meeting"? I view these as 2 different circumstances as the first meeting is a process to see if she is worth a first date. I've found that generally pictures have been deceiving and i am becoming a bit discouraged by this! :(
