It all depends on my date, but I'm for going to dinner on the first date so you can chat and learn about one another. Then afterward maybe going for a walk or something of that nature. Alltogether I believe that both of you should pic the place you go to. A movie on the first date doesn't give you much time to talk and get to know each other.
