I am a widowed Navy veteran and would like to have some new friends in my life. I am looking for someone who can be friends first.

I always try to enjoy life as it was given to me. I am an intelligent, independent, and friendly person who tries to not be judgmental about anyone. I look at the good in a person...everyone has something good in them. I am hard working at things that I like to do. I try to help true friends without expecting anything in return.

I don't like arguing, but a good conversation about issues is wonderful. I don't believe in and wont tolerate abusive relationships--either verbal, physical or mental. Life is too short...I believe if a relationship goes that way...it's not a relationship at all. I want honesty...friendship .... enjoyment.... laughter.. do things together, but allow both of us to remain independent people with our own things that we like to do.

I like to do a variety of things...meet at a nice quiet place-food/drink a couple of beverages or just sit and drink coffee. Sometimes, I like to meet at the beach in the evening and just walk and talk or go to a festival...prefer to be able to chat and not shout over a lot of music or noise, but movies and concerts are good for later dates.
