Whenever I see one of these begin with "I don't know what to say . . ." my first thought is "just describe yourself; it's not rocket science". I now wish to all apologize to those people (even though they don't know who they are :-); this isn't easy.

I'm 42, divorced (5 years), no kids (what did they say the minimum length for this was ?) and I live in southeastern New Jersey, just outside A.C. I moved here three years ago from NYC. I love it here but it wasn't a matter of choice at the time - the commute was atrocious. I work as a gaming consultant, mostly in town but of late I've been more involved with online activity. (zzzzzzzzzz)

For any of you who were not put to sleep by the above, I'll make a long story short (a feat many of my friends claim is an absolute impossibility :-).

I want to meet someone who'd like to have something serious, but who doesn't feel as though it must occur within the next five minutes. I want someone who WANTS it, not someone who feels they NEED it. I'm aware "your" situation is in many ways different from "ours" (tick-tock, tick-tock), but are you really willing to settle for "he's not such a bad guy" ? Don't you deserve more ? I'm not talking about finding your soul mate (a pleasant concept, but not one I believe in), I simply mean someone you can picture being with for the rest of your life and never questioning whether or not you made the right choice.

I guess that's about it. We can leave all the important stuff like favorite color, astrological sign and what not for later. (OK, blue and aquarius if the curiousity is killing you).
