I live the better part of each year (nine months, give or take) on my wee sailboat in Mexico's Sea of Cortez. The plan (written in sand at low tide) is to sell the boat this coming spring. And, after far too many years of single celibacy (most priests should be so restrained), I'd like to change that by having a best friend and partner with which to share life; life being much richer and sweeter with a good partner. I'm flexible, movable, changeable, nothing is written in stone; the boat and I don't have a long term agreement; whatever works is fine with this old boot. I'd really rather not change who I am, tho; no one should have to change for someone else.

My lady should be easy going and like to laugh; a sense of humor and zest for life are wonderful to share. She will also need to be emotionally and financially stable...I am, but, sadly, my two wee pensions are just enough for one person to enjoy. Please note, I've a bum knee that objects to things that twist and jolt, life is still better than great but dancing, tennis, golf and sking are now memories for this fella.

Talk and laugh. I love to do both. It seems I make others laugh. Talk and laughter should imitate the back and forth of a friendly tennis match. Talk and laughter, being portable commodities, are easy to do while walking, watching sunsets, over coffee (tea for me), or maybe on some deserted beach.

Location isn't important, although, conversation and smiles while sharing a pleasant meal would probably be a great starter.
