it's nearly impossible to accurately paint a dynamic picture of yourself in these things. i will say that i'm very much a taurus, if the "astrology" is your thing, or equal parts 5 and 6 - if you prefer the pragmatic world of enneagrams and, yeah, i'm an INTJ. so take that as you will. yes, before you ask, i'm irish. sixth generation, which probably informs more of me than the rest does.

i work a lot so i like to take it easy and make time for the important things/people in my life. most of my time is spent training for triathlon. i also do yoga and weight lifting. outside of work and training i have many, many varied interests. you'd be hard-pressed to find a subject i haven't at least read about for two months straight, at some point. what can i say? i like to dabble. however, music's at the top of the list. listening and playing, i play guitar and have a few other instruments lying around. i like to cook and movie nights are common. however, a good night out might be pints with friends and catching a local band, or three. i prefer a dive to a club any night of the week. which isn't to say that i don't like to get dressed up and go out on the town, or to the theatre or a museum. although, i've stayed fairly suburban over the past few years, there was a time when i was outdoors more than in.

i work for a property management company by day and, by night, i have a freelance design and construction company. until about year ago i was building houses for a developer in virginia beach, but the economy happened. my goal is to build a construction company that focuses on finding a balance between cost, craftsmanship and sustainable "off-the-grid" living without sacrificing modern conveniences - ultimately to build low-cost/no impact houses and communities. ideally, i'd like to find a proof of concept to show that the same can be done in developing countries.

i've been single for a couple years without dating very much at all. which, for a serial monogamist, has been a good thing. i have to admit that it's starting to get a tad old. I'm not entirely sure what that means right now but i'm open to ideas.

first dates are fluid, it depends on the person/situation. talking is a must and one shouldn't rule anything out.
