If you're reading this, you're somewhere between 50 and 60 and already know what a long, strange trip it is indeed to be at this stage of your life.

I think I've screwed up a few dates with people I've met on this site by not feeling the "lightening bolt" (any Godfather fans out there?) and not giving ourselves a chance to get to know each other better. But then again, I do tend to go by first impressions. Maybe I'm hard to impress? Will you impress me?

I would just love to have someone by my side to explore more of Oregon with - the cities and the countyside for their diverse beauty. I hope I make it downtown at night to see all the holdays lights.

It doesn't take much to make me happy or give me a thrill. I'm looking for someone I can be comfortable with and whom with to share all my quirks; and someone that feels the same way. Someone to just exhale and sigh with. And maybe giggle, too!

I enjoy being challenged in an intellectual debate, and have been known to change my opinion on a topic when I become better informed.

I see alot of you out there state that you look younger than your age, and I think that is a healthy attitude. I think it means that you are amazed to find the same self you were at 20, now at an older age, and still approach life with the same youthful attitude.

Along that line - feel free to respond only if your profile picture is fairly recent. I once met a guy for a first date, and when I saw a man standing where we were to meet, I thought "Oh, look, he brought his dad!" (it was my date). I don't care what you look like but I need to recognize you!

I love anything that is cutting-edge technology-wise and would not care to live in any other era. I think the times we live in are exciting and more full of hope than despair. That is not to say I am not enamored with history and all it's components that brought us to where we are today. I especially love westerns!

I am not adverse to gallons of coffee or tumblers of scotch. Conversation is key in an initial meeting, so save the movies for a later date! A nice stroll or talk over coffee works too ro what ever idea you come uo with is fine by me.
